Update Your Nursery with Framebridge

Hey everyone! Today I have a AMAZINGLY FUN post. I mean, who doesn't love some good nursery decor?

You all know how much I love painting animals, but I don't always get around to having them printed and framed for my own use. Then I found out about Framebridge- a company that prints and frames your art for you- like hello! Less work for me! :)

I knew I had the perfect room in the house to use their lovely frames in: Jason's Nursery!

You can take a peak over HERE to see what the room looked like when I originally designed it. Normally I like to find a perfect layout & design everything at once, but since Jason is growing from a baby into little boy,  his room has been changing with him. He can no longer sleep in his adorable bassinet from his newborn days, and he now uses a crib. So these frames really completed his "big boy" room.

A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats | Hand Lettered Watercolor Printable

Hey everyone! Today I have a super cute hand lettering print I came up with while playing around with my watercolors. I love ocean themed quotes, since I am an ocean girl at heart... and I love painting with sea green blue colors!

"A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats"
This quote by really sticks out to me, because as a blogger, I love working as a community with my fellow creatives and artists. So I thought in the spirit of community, I would hare this cute printable as a freebie.

It comes in the following sizes: 16x20,  8x10, and 5x7.

Hope you love it! If you use it in your decor, feel free to tag me on instagram, or use the hashtag #welivedhappilyeverafterblog

DIY Toddler Shanty Chic Artist Desk

We have a little artist in our family named June. She loves drawing unicorns, animals, family portraits, my best friend's puppy, and Rapunzel with mile long golden hair.

We decided something must be done to transition her from drawing on my raw pallet wood (not the type of "character" I want in wood- lol!) and making marker stains on the couch and floor.

Geode & Agate Slice Print Series

Hey guys! If you've been following me on Instagram (go do it NOW if you aren't :) then you have probably seen this one coming. Today I'm going back to my Native American roots and sharing my newest print series in my shop: Natural Stone & Crystal Slices!

I've always loved decorating in neutrals, and I thought what would be more fun than a series of agate and geode slices?!

DIY Fireplace Mantle Shelf

Our living room has been one of those problem spaces for us. It actually has a lot of ceiling height, which we LOVE, but the a-frame ceiling left us stumped on how to decorate it without cluttering it. It's kinda the room where we opted for comfort over style. I remember going to numerous furniture stores looking for couches, and the sales people (who really should have just learned to leave picky me alone) were so frustrated because they couldn't get me to buy a normal khaki colored couch, which they said "goes with everything!"

Hmmmm.... but I wanted a tufted white couch. But being couchless, we finally found a great sectional that is more of a pewter gray. It's not my one true love couch, but it does the job, and is super comfy.

We ended up using the bookshelf that we made to go along with my desk (plans here) as our console. The arched ceiling is awesome, because it makes the room feel huge, but I didn't want to hang any photos on the wall... no matter how I put it together in my mind, it just didn't work for the room.
We LOVE white & our style is a little more minimalistic, so I didn't just want to put anything up there.

We joked that if we where going to live here longer, that we would actually build a fireplace.
One day I decided to just go for it and make either a mantel shelf or faux fireplace. I mean, if we didn't like it, we could always take it all down.

Here is a photo of what it looked like before this project.

DIY Layered Naked Wedding Cake for Under $20

I love weddings. They are an opportunity to throw a fancy party and get my DIY on.

During my own wedding,  I had a very sweet friend who happened to make wedding cakes professionally help me with mine. I've done a few for friends and family since then, and have solemnly sworn never to do a fondant cake again. Super hard. But this naked cake trend? I can handle that. ;)

I made one for my Sister In-Law's Wedding, and one for my Daughter's Mermaid Birthday Party, and I am seriously obsessed.
