ArrowScript Font.

Hey everyone! I have some exciting news. I made my very first script font: ARROWSCRIPT

You can fond it on Creative Market HERE.

I am seriously SO excited, becuase literally 100 hours of work & self teaching later, and I've finished something on my bucket list! CHECK! All the hard work and coffee was so worth it though.

ArrowScript was lovingly designed to be a natural, loose cursive, mimicking my own writing style. It's a stunning, elegant font designed to be "imperfectly perfect." It has alternates for each letter, along with stylish swashes and hand drawn characters to make your projects look hand scripted.

This font has movement, and brings energy & life to your designs- all while looking totally hand drawn!

And a super fun part of this font is that it actually includes the option to start and end your text with gorgeous arrowhead and feather!

This font comes with a two sets of lowercase alternates, allowing you to switch letter styles as you type, for a fun, artistic flow that won't be repetitive. Simply alternate between lower and uppercase, and pick whichever letter fits your mood best. There are alternates too, which are accessible by turning on 'Stylistic Alternates' in Photoshop, or though using any software with a glyphs panel, (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop CC, etc)

You can purchase it on Creative Market HERE for just $18.

Now you guys know why I have been so absent from blogging lately. LOL.

Okay, that's it for now. Over and out. XO

DIY Pallet Kitchen Island- With Plans

Let me start this off by saying that I am SO thankful for all of you. Blogging can be very lonely... I don't have coworkers to joke around with, and sometimes I go weeks without getting together with people... unless you count my 1 and 4 year old (and my husband)... haha! Don't get me wrong, I love working from home, but sometimes I miss people. :)

I see pageviews, but I don't necessarily associate them with people caring about my blog- or even liking my content. Last week I posted a very overwhelmed post, and so many of you wrote encouraging comments to me. Thank you so much! Honestly, my blog is just little glimpses into my life, and my goal is to be a little sun ray of beauty in other people's lives. Thank you all for your support and love!

Today's post has taken me for FOREVER to finish. It's a little Kitchen Island made out of pallets that my husband built me. It was such a quirky little piece of furniture, and I actually really disliked it when my husband was building it. I told him we didn't have a good place for it. But now it's my favorite piece in our house. It's funny how that always seems to happen to me. ;)

Behind the Scenes from a Burned Out Mama

Being a mom is the best thing in the world, but sometimes it feels like the toughest thing too. I am so blessed to be able to work from home, but sometimes all I want to do is curl up on the couch and watch cartoons with my kids. Sometimes being a working mom from home makes me feel guilty for telling my toddler for the hundredth time that I can't play with her because I am busy working.

The juggling act between mommy, and mompreneur sometimes gets unbalanced, which results in a month long gap here on my blog. Sorry! :-/

Sometimes I wish I won the lottery, so I could just spend all my time painting, drawing, snuggling my kids, and baking cookies for my husband- wait, that's what I already do. ;)

But seriously, lately I've been dealing with lots of depressing legal stuff: taxes, copyright infringement legal issues with several companies stealing my work, and just being plain burned out of energy.

I also have so many projects going on at once. I'm basically like my iPhone- all the apps open at once- never closing them. My husband makes fun of me so much for how many tabs I always leave up. Apparently that's why my phone is always slow. Lol.

It's been somewhat discouraging because lots of amazing opportunities have fallen through for me this year, and it feels like everything is just not going my way.

But that's okay, because I know in my heart what really matters. Right now I am doing what makes my soul happy, starting with painting my favorite things- animals and flowers.

After all, life isn't about making the most money, or being in the hall of fame- it's about creating beautiful things and having a loving soul. So today I am taking a step back from all the craziness, and taking a deep breath.

I have a beautiful life, a wonderful husband, and two adorable, (messy!), loving, (crazy!) kiddos who have me wrapped around their sticky fingers.

I'm hoping to have these prints for sale up in my etsy shop. But I would also love to give one away to all of you- so let me know which is your favorite, and if you have any requests for new animals!
