DIY Bear Pattern & Tutorial

Today is a fun post about how to make a toy grizzly bear out of a close knit sweater! I wanted to use a soft natural fabric for this stuffed animal because I thought the texture would go great with The Nursery.

I will be adding the pattern pieces to this tutorial soon. I'm just too tired to do it today... because I am working my butt off on some super fun things behind the scenes... can't wait to share my secret project with you all! But in the meanwhile, I'm sure you can eyeball it! :)

SO I went to a local thrift store and picked up like 5 sweaters for various projects & picked this one out for the bear. I have to admit, maybe I got TOO inspired by these anthropologie sweater polar bears... they were totally the inspiration behind this DIY!

Free Vintage Watercolor Graphics

I have some fun free watercolor graphics for you all today! I mean, what's better than Mason Jars, Marquee Lights, Succulents, and Gold Scissors?

To overlap the mason jars and add the flowers to the vase, like I have them in to image, just lover the opacity on the jar.

How I edit my photos with vintage filters (and no photoshop!)

I can't believe how blessed I am. I have a SUPER wonderful (and hott ;) husband, a precious newborn, and, lets face it, a stunning, wild spirit, blue eyed girl!

I did an impromptu photoshoot with her a while back, and LOVED the photos I ended up with. It's never easy photographing a toddler, but one out of every hundred photos is a gem, and some of them can be quite hilarious!

I wanted to share how I edit my photos for a soft, romantic vintage feel. This isn't a very professional way, and I mainly use it for social media, as the quality of your photo gets decreased, but I LOVE the result.

June's Flower Crown...

I took an impromptu photo shoot with my baby girl wearing a flower crown I made her, and I couldn't resist posting them here.

I used a floral crown that was just greenery, and added some flowers and shrub branches from our yard.

You wouldn't believe how many photos I had to snap to get a good shot! Oh, and my memory card was almost full, so I had to keep on deleting the bad ones to take more, while June was saying, ""I'm done, mommy, I'm tired!" So I just told her to pretend to sleep. Haha!

Free Red Cross Print

Jason's room has lots of vintage memorabilia in it. My grandmother was a nurse during WWII so I wanted to honor her, along with both my grandpas who were both in the military, for their service. And the red cross looks so cool anyways! I didn't feel like spending a ton on red cross decor, so I just whipped up this vintage looking print & wanted to pass it along for you all to use too! :)

Super Easy DIY Rhino Bookends

While I wish I was a millionaire, designing on a budget is totally fun & rewarding. You seriously don't have to sacrifice a beautiful home because you can't afford to drop hundreds of dollars on each room. In fact, even if I did have tons of money, I would probably DIY it anyway! It's lots of fun & even more special that way. With that said, I really wanted to incorporate a modern animal profile bookend in Jason's room... but I didn't want to spend the money on them... so after I made his adorable jigsaw animal blocks, I got inspired to DIY it.

Uncle Sam Nursery Print I Want You To Go To Sleep!

I had so much fun making this poster. Good Old Uncle Sam supports mommys everywhere telling their kiddos that "I NEED YOU... TO GO TO SLEEP!"

Haha.. I'm pretty clever, right? It goes perfect with Jason's airplane...

Free Animal Silhouette Printables

While the nursery was mainly industrial, I ended up adding some rustic elements to it as well. I couldn't help myself, I just love animals too much!

I kept it simple by doing brown craft paper & animal silhouettes using the graphics from this collection HERE.
