Today I have a post using the all so wonderful (and free!) building material we all have heard so much buzz about on Pinterest: The Pallet.
My husband and I looked around for this lovely, pre-aged, free material & hit the jackpot when we drove by a local pool company who had a huge pile of them. They were very clean & had such lovely coloring to them. So after asking permission from the company, we brought back like 7 of them. And you know what, we used them ALL! I need more!!! :)
After using them to update THIS DRESSER, I fell in love with the look and decided to make a rustic-industrial crate with pallets to go in the baby's room.
Hey Everyone! So I have some super cool news. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen this coming... because I post all sorts of crazy stuff on there... like this photo above...
Yeah... this is me in a make shift hazmat suit (gas mask and trash bags over my feet) because we were house looking and our Realtor wouldn't let "pregnant me" go into this particular house otherwise. We put an offer in on this same foreclosed house (it was priced well below 50% market value!!! Great investment property!) but it had major issues... Like the previous owners had a pig INSIDE the house and it... Umm... Ruined all the flooring (think nightmare house on like flip or flop, but 100 times worse!) thus the hazmat suit... Even though we were the only ones to come see it (it had only been on the market one day) there were 12 other offers and we were out bid.
Hey Everyone! So I may or may not be kinda stuck on animal themed graphics right now... and that may or may not be based off of all the fun artwork I am coming up with for the baby's nursery... but you will just have to wait to see. ;)
I WILL say that there are some SUPER DUPER cute printables based off of today's post (HINT: Look Above & Below!), and the last animal graphics post I did a few weeks ago (found HERE), coming your way.
I just can't wait to share them with you all, but in the meanwhile, please have fun creating your own artwork with these fun animal silhouette graphics!
Exciting things are happening for me this year. A new home (1st time home buyers here!) and a new baby due in March are the two biggest ones. With all that said, I have my hands full with our "fixer upper" and my nesting urges (need to get that nursery done NOW!!!)
One of my very favorite things to do is take something that I got for free (in this case, pallets) and transform it into something beautiful and functional for my home.
We made these "wood scrap pile nightstands" earlier this year for our bedroom while we lived in base housing. If you calculated costs (not including the pallet tops, which were free regardless) it probably cost about $12 to build both of them. They really weren't hard to build, it took my husband (with me "supervising") around an hour total, so the plans for this tutorial will be really basic.
Hey everyone! How have you been doing? I feel like I totally disappeared from "blogland" these last few weeks- but it's because of some super amazing things that are happening in my life right now. I can't wait to share more soon, so stay tuned!
So I have a thing for cute little animals & having a new baby gave me a great excuse to draw up some forest critter graphics. These little guys would be great on Baby Shower Invites, banners, favors, party decorations and more!
I also went ahead and made them into a set of nursery printables that you can download and print HERE. If you are having issues using this download link, please reference my FAQ post HERE to troubleshoot it.
