Thanks for stopping by for the start of Week 3 of Pinterest Inspired DIY and Tutorials on We Lived Happily Ever After!
Today I am going to show you the very yummy cake pops my sister made. They are Double Chocolate Cake Pops.
Here's the recipe:
- Chocolate Devils Food Cake box
- About 4 Big Spoonfuls of Chocolate Frosting (you can find my recipe here)
These are super moist and rich.
You don't want to overwhelm the dough with too much frosting (the cake will already be moist) so go easy on the frosting.
Mix it all up using your hands so you can get a feel for the right texture.

You can submerge them in melted chocolate to give them a shell {If you do, use a cup so you can give them full coverage easily.} These ones were already rich enough.
That was easy enough! These were an adorable party food displayed on a glass chess board!
Have you seen these AWESOME cake pop Baking Pans & Cake Pop Makers they have come up with? WOW! I am going to have to get myself some one of these days. But for now, I'm going to hand roll them... Sigh. :)
Here are some from Kohls
(one of my favorite stores :)
Since we are talking cake pops today, I wanted to feature some of my favorite takes on this clever dessert:
Aren't these Brownie Popsicles just ADORABLE? Check out Crazy Domestic's Blog to see how she made them.
These Adorable Cupcake Pops were made by Martha Stewart Living.
(figures- they look too good to be "true" :P)
And check out Nikki's Oreo Truffles over at Chief in Training- Don't they look so yummy!
One of the most brilliant takes on a a dessert on a stick is Mini Cinnamon Rolls on Popsicle Sticks!

Okay, this one has got to be my favorite: Mini Mouse Cake Pops!
{I couldn't find a source for this one...}
So go plan an event as an excuse for cake pops already!
