Cake Pops!

Today I am going to show you the very yummy cake pops my sister made. They are Double Chocolate Cake Pops.

Here's the recipe:

Chocolate Devils Food Cake box
About 4 Big Spoonfuls of Chocolate Frosting  (you can find my recipe here)

These are super moist and rich.
You don't want to overwhelm the dough with too much frosting (the cake will already be moist) so go easy on the frosting.
Mix it all up using your hands so you can get a feel for the right texture.

You can submerge them in melted chocolate to give them a shell {If you do, use a cup so you can give them full coverage easily.} These ones were already rich enough.

That was easy enough! These were an adorable party food displayed on a glass chess board!

Have you seen these AWESOME cake pop Baking Pans & Cake Pop Makers they have come up with? WOW! I am going to have to get myself some one of these days. But for now, I'm going to hand roll them... Sigh. :)

Here are some from Kohls
(one of my favorite stores :)

Since we are talking cake pops today, I wanted to feature some of my favorite takes on this clever dessert:

Popsicle brownies

Aren't these Brownie Popsicles just ADORABLE? Check out Crazy Domestic's Blog to see how she made them.

These Adorable Cupcake Pops were made by Bakerella. She has some AMAZING cake pop creations, so head over to her site to be majorly inspired!

And check out Nikki's Oreo Truffles over at Chief in Training- Don't they look so yummy!

One of the most brilliant takes on a a dessert on a stick is Mini Cinnamon Rolls on Popsicle Sticks!

Okay, I just had to include my Oreo Pops because they are just too cute!

So go plan an event as an excuse for cake pops already!

  2. What about Bakerella? The cupcake pops you show were actually made by Bakerella. Just wanted to point that out because she is a cake pop Queen and should get credit for her pops.

    1. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I LOVE Bakerella and she /is/ the queen of cake pops! However, Martha Stewart Living featured her cake pops which is why there are two different sources. I didn't originally know this until you pointed it out to me. But I will change the link to direct back to Bakerella's site instead. Thanks! :)
