It's kinda a Family Tradition to have Sparkling Cider over Thanksgiving. This year we had a super large crowd over at my parents so we needed more Sparkling cider than normal... forget that, just my brother alone would drink several gallons of this stuff. ;)
Necessity is the mother of invention.

I suck at knitting and crocheting. Even though I taught myself to sew, I cannot for the life of me knit something that will actually LOOK nice. :) However, I've been drooling (not literally though) over all these beautiful "finger-less glove knitting patterns." and then I had this brilliant idea, "use socks!"
So off to the dollar store I went, and I found some cute wool socks (OH YEAH!) to help me "fake" it.
First, determine the "fit" you want for your sock gloves. I wanted mine to be pretty long. Your thumb should ideally be where the heal starts to curve. Cut it out, leaving a 1/4 " seam allowance.
Next, turn your sock inside out. Fold the rims down where the green dash lines are. This will insure that there will be no fraying. Where all the blue dash lines are in the final picture, sew together.
You can totally do this by hand. No Sewing Machine (or knitting needles :) required!
Turn it inside out again (so it will really be right side out :)
I decided to sew on matching heart patches too.
When sewing a patch, make sure to do your stitches starting on the inside of the patch, and then going outside the patch.
Not a bad transformation! A lot cheaper than buying a knitting pattern and supplies too (you can't beat $1 can you? :)
Think of all the fun possibilities! (Really cute patterns, or even matching Socks and Gloves!)
I just love the way they turned out. And they seriously only took 5 minutes (and that included me photographing the whole process!)

I wanted to share an adorable holiday idea I had with you all! When I was little my mom and all of us kids would make no bake chocolate peanut butter cookie mice.

I have the most adorable Winter Craft to share with you all today! The inspiration came to me when I was looking through Pinterest yesterday. I saw crafts involving snowflakes... and then I saw crafts using glue guns! And then it hit me! I can use a Hot Glue Gun to Make Snowflakes on my Windows! It's clear, pretty, and peels easily off of glass! I was like wow, I wonder if anyone has ever done this? It's such a "duh" idea! :)

I was never a coffee person until I had Dunkin Donuts's Oreo Coffee Coolatta. It is one of my favorite things ever! Since they will probably stop making it eventually, I just had to figure a way to make it myself.

Update: Now Picmonkey charges for some of their actions, but there is a free website called Ipiccy that has identical software.
I own Photoshop, but I actually prefer the simplicity of Picmonkey! Plus, most of the actions are free & it's so simple anyone can use it!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am really excited to be sharing this one with you all!
I fell in LOVE with the concept of an outdoor movie night (more about this on another day.) I thought it would be special to reserve it for my sister's surprise birthday party because she had talked about how she wanted to do one this summer.
